Matt understands the art of directing comedy. He started out doing sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and began directing sketches for Yahoo! Sketchies after relocating to Los Angeles. He's directed commercials and branded content for eHarmony, Signal, Kirin Beer, and USA Networks, amongst others and has extensive experience creating social and digital content for ABC, Hearst Publications, Vice, Yahoo!, Facebook Watch, and CollegeHumor.

Matt and his short film “Lessons with Martha” is on a festival run that includes a win for Best Short at the Yucca Valley Film Festival. He directed  "Beerfest: Thirst for Victory" for CW Seed - the first feature film to debut on CW's streaming service, as well as the first digital series for Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, titled "Meet My Mom." He also directed the sketch series "The Gaggle" for ABC Digital and YouTube versions of "Family Feud" and "Password" for Fremantle.

Matt continues to explore new ways of developing, creating and directing comedy most recently directing the series “Heron and the Hen,” a van-life spoof, for Abso Lutely Productions, which will be featured at the 2022 SeriesFest in Denver, Colorado.
